COS Student Awards

  • COS Ph.D. Student Patrick Gage Kelley and Daniel R. Rashid, received the InfoVis 2008 Contest Honorary Award. Mitsubishi Electronic Research Lab Sensor Exploration. Their award winning poster can be viewed here.

  • COS Ph.D. student Jana Diesner received the 2008 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Scholarship Award

  • COS Ph.D. student Patrick Gage Kelley was elected as the 2008 President of the Graduate Student Assembly. The Graduate Student Assembly is the student governmental body representing all of Carnegie Mellon's 4500 graduate students, which works to improve upon the academic support and collegial activities for graduate students.
