Petitions
In very exceptional circumstances students may petition for a waiver of a particular requirement. To make a petition, the student should first discuss with his or her advisor whether a petition makes sense. If the advisor feels it might be warranted the student should write a short petition and send it by email to the program director Professor Kathleen M. Carley. This petition should cover what is requested, why, and provide supporting evidence for why it makes sense. An example is, to substitute a course for a star course the syllabus of the course to be substitute should be provided. If in doubt of what material is needed, the student should ask the program director.
